Jazmine
Bourbon French Parfums

I purchased Jazmine in a sample pack. (The bottle and website spell the name with a Z instead of an S). It's a long lasting perfume. I only smell jasmine. I think it's an oriental type of perfume. Women would likely be candidates to use it.

The current owner of Bourbon French informs me that their soliflore Jasmine is identical to the Jazmine in their Jazz Ensemble collection, the latter marketed under the clever play on the word. So, we are simply dealing with a single floral note.

I have encountered many jasmines in my life, it being (along with violet) my favorite floral scent. Perhaps the ultimate jasmine for me is Serge Lutens' Dans La Nuit, with its intense mix of white and green notes. Certainly, the tropical Pikake flower is another pure take on the scent.

BF's Jasmine does not present to my nose as pure jasmine. It is quite a quiet scent, not as bold or true as my jasmine experience has heretofore impressed me. It is as if the green of the leaf has overcome the white of the flower. It is neither sweet nor round. It is perfectly pleasant, but not special or true in any way.

An odd scent, not impressive in my estimation.
