Latest Reviews of Jazzelle
I love all things chocolate. So, this is a natural scent for me. Best used in the autum and winter.
JAZZELLE (Bourbon French)
A true gourmand, Bourbon French's Jazzelle opens with a luscious Belgian chocolate note, mixed with an impression of dark roasted coffee.
I get no orange blossom, no rose hip, no cinnamon, the other notes in the tree. They don't really have a chance against the strong onslaught of the chocolate/coffee notes.
I have experienced over thirty of Bourbon French's almost eighty creations and this is the first gourmand I have come across. It is part of their Jazz Ensemble set, originally part of the Lagniappe Oaks Perfumery, since absorbed into the Bourbon French line. This is a scent that should appeal mostly to the adolescent or young adult set.
Whether or not you will like Jazzelle rests entirely on whether you like gourmands, chocolate/coffee scents in particular, and whether you want to smell as if you just emerged from a bath dripping in both. It's very well done, very well balanced, and although I am not a fan of gourmand scents, I must praise it as a success in its genre.
