The company say:

“Stories of how personalities like Talitha and Paul Getty, Paul Bowles, Mick Jagger, Veruschka and Yves Saint Laurent all resided in Marrakesh during the 60s and 70s have always inspired me. I´m intrigued by how they used this place for influences and escapes of all kinds: clothes, colours, music, interior and drugs. So, the fragrance of Kasbah is an appreciation to the international party scene during this era. ”

This fragrance immediately reminded me of Tobacco Vanille in the opening, likely due to the honey note. However, as it develops, the tonka bean and orange/lime citruses give it a slightly different direction. Some people on Fragrantica have suggested that it smells like Ambre Narguile, and I can see why. Kasbah incorporates the tonka bean note from Ambre Narguile and combines it with the honey and vanilla notes of Tobacco Vanille.

Unfortunately, the drydown isn't as smooth as I had hoped. The coumarin and guaiac wood seem to clash a bit. I'm glad I was able to test this at Sephora before purchasing. I would recommend testing or sampling this fragrance before buying, as it is a good scent but at this price point, I would personally opt for a decant of Ambre Narguile or Tobacco Vanille instead.
