A beautiful and obviously high quality oud fragrance. The oud is front and center but it's accented by other top notch ingredients.
Le Cheikh Boheme is the meeting of classic French perfumery with Middle Eastern perfumery. Besides two ouds there's the house's own all-natural coumarin tincture, excellent frankincense, real oakmoss, leathery labdanum, rose Otto, mimosa extract and various spices and citruses.
The result is absolutely inoffensive and rich without being heavy. After the citrus up top burn off there are light touches of florals and spices which accent the oud and lead to a very slightly powdery and leathery base of oakmoss and amber upon which the oud hums the night away. Persistence is all day and well into the wee hours with a moderate sillage throughout.
