LA VIE NOUVELLE (Bourbon French)

La Vie Nouvelle is an extremely light scent, which surprised me, given the presence of two super olacious white florals (lily and tuberose). It is actually the light tea note that stands in the center of this creation, making it quite modern to today's perfume tastes.

The bergamot and grapefruit are not detectable to my nose and the vanilla and musk are used with such a light hand that I have to strain my imagination to even locate them in the mix.

This is a soft scent for women who don't care for scent, but feel they ought to wear something so as not to stick out from the crowd. It is so evanescent as to seem not to be there at all.

It is not a bad scent, if indeed you can detect it at all, but of so little substance as to not quite make the grade.
