Where is the lavender? I take for granted that Atkinsons use top-quality natural raw materials but I cannot get over how synthetic LOTR smells on my skin. In my personal case, this fragrance has a longevity of less than one hour. It is very strong at first but after about 15 minutes it dries down to an almost undetectable powdery aura. I expected a top-of-the-line fougère EDP but I ended up with a hard woody "flash in the pan" nondescript fragrance. What a let-down.

I get a reverse pyramid here. Namely that the oud/wood register approximately one second after hitting my skin. They hang around for a while. A pleasant, low-key, somewhat sweet oud. Probably synthetic. After a while, some herbal notes make an appearance. I feel the lavender (despite being both "essence" and "absolute") is of rather inferior quality, and thus not particularly interesting. Gets sweeter in the dry-down.
I have often wondered what an oud/lavender scent would be like. There must be something better than this.

A complete let down by Atkinsons!

Dark start on lavender followed by nothing...Nada!

Terrible longevity for an EDP!

Not worth the money either.

Thumbs down!

Horrid. Unlike Atkinsons' English Lavender, Lavender on the Rocks picks up this weird aquatic/clean laundry note about 15 minutes into its development (smells like dihydromyrcenol to me). It washes out what would otherwise be a pleasant (though not especially interesting) lavender scent and turns it into a generic, "fresh" thing that's definitely not worth its asking price.
