The clothing rations that were put into place saw suits and dresses worth 25 and 15 coupons but jeans only one coupon, as workwear had a low coupon value! Lee Cooper continued to stay ahead of the game in the fifties when denim became popular throughout the Western World thanks to icons of the rock 'n' roll age such as James Dean. Lee Cooper introduced the first front zipped slacks for women in this decade
