This was one of a huge range of single note/accord perfume oils that were available at the Body Shop in the eighties, back when their aesthetic was still "groovy" & less mainstream, & appealed more to the hippie chick in me. The oils came in little frosted glass bottles labelled in black. I had a few different ones, but Lotus was a favourite.
I recall it as a big, heady floral with powerful sillage & almost endless longevity. I don't know whether it was based on the notoriously narcotic blue lotus flower, but l'm certain it had a euphoric effect on others as well as on me - I remember people following me around, very keen to know what was that wonderful scent. I would dearly love to smell this again!
