I agree with gimmegreen's review that the projection of this fragrance is moderate and its longevity is mediocre. Like the other scents in the line, it gives a clean, spa-like vibe with a touch of woodiness. The cloves are not overpowering or dirty, but rather smooth and well-blended with the cardamom. Additionally, there's a hint of bergamot added to balance out the scent.

It feels like it could fit in CDG's fragrance lineup, and the ingredients used are of high quality. However, I'm not convinced that it's worth the high price tag.

Intensity is not really Aesop’s thing; all the perfumes I’ve smelled from their range so far have had adequate but modest projection. Here it is probably the warm array of spices and woods that qualify for the adjective. Marrakech Intense is huge mug of sweet chai in a wood-cabin sauna. The prominent cardamom note interplaying with the woods produces the nostril clearing effect almost akin to eucalyptus. It’s the interplay of spicing with an almost spa-like rude health melange of woody and herbal notes at the start that gives it a bracing, come-and-get-it feel. But as it settles and some of the dry green accents evaporate, the sweetness creeps up a bit and the whole thing gets a bit of belly fat. I’m not too keen on this later stage, though I can see people on the search for an inoffensive spicy perfume falling for it.

Very raw. It takes a few minutes to settle down and for the cardamom, clove, sandalwood, and that "anamalic note" to quit bitch-slapping one another, jockeying for position, and elbow throwing. I find it amusing. I'm not catching the bergamot until everyone else has settled into place. It's got amazing staying power.

I can see why people say this can be worn year 'round. With this notes list, you'd imagine this to be a Christmas-y scent. If Bad Santa is your kind of Christmas movie, then this is the Christmas fragrance of your kinky dreams.

Opening blast of cardamom and citrus supported by a woodsy incense. I'd love this.... as a candle. I don't think it works very well as a fragrance. My wife says it smells synthetic.

Starts off with a huge hit of cardamom. Then cloves come through, adding to the impression of Indian paan masala (betel quid) just before you chew it. Perhaps the rose & neroli are part of that impression, though they're still barely discernible background players.
Looking forward to using my sample occasionally: almost as good as a holiday. Can't imagine buying a bottle however.

All about a beautiful raw, natural feeling cardamom, clove cedar and sandalwood support. Good longevity. I don't wear it often but really enjoy it when I do.
Must try for cardamom lovers
