Now that that's outta the way, MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Ok ok...

I should probably write a thing or two. Ok two it is:

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (1)
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (2)

LOL (no I'm not actually laughing out loud...but if I didn't put that in there you'll think I was silly and immature).

Alright so here is something other than Mmmmmmmmmmm:

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmy. LOL ( see above)

I wasted all that space. Or did I .. Raised left eyebrow.

You see, my review is not going to do a thing for you that Buzzlepuff hasn't already done. Nicely, may I add. :)

However I should add a thing or two. Two.

Then.... Add up all the m's (capital M's too) and the rest of the "meaningful" words and you may get a "taste" for this Gentle Giant.

1st- I'm compelled to mention here a very important fact.
If your not a fan of Dior's Leather Oud (La Collection Privee Line), then walk - NO RUN from this. To my nose they are quite similar.

I said similar. Same vibe/DNA .. You can insert what ever word best helps you see that point.

If you are a fan ... Stick around. I really do wanna help.
But first- Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

There. Promise that's the last one.

As I mentioned earlier, the Dior reference, I'll use that assuming that you've gotten a whiff or two of that one.
If you haven't. You will either glean or grin. Both good.

I love the Dior (a promise is a promise, you know... all the m/M's.

BUT I ADORE THIS!

Animalic, leather with a tad of "tamed" woodsy undertones that are seemlessly blended with Vetiver/Amber. That is correct this is a Vetiver based ( add some Patty) frag.

It's not in your face but trust me it's there and it lends a "sharp" edge to this fragrance whilst still maintaining this amazingly soft woody undertone.

Smeared throughout this concoction .. To my olfactory bulb, is a hint of warm spices, the perfect amount of civet, which when combined with that beeswax .... Mmm (nope. I promised)

If what I wrote there sounds a bit paradoxical. Well it is.
Hence my second point:

Look at those notes. Go ahead. I'll wait.

Look at those big, fat, heavy, turbo charged (twin) notes. Not one of those, in that 3 tiered triangle is NOT a heavy hitter.

Yet BTV has done a masterful job of making them so seemlessly blended that you never feel the stiletto as it goes in.

Deep.

But you don't feel it cut. Promise.

Because... Well... Ita a Gentle Giant.

A friendly monster that you can bond with.
Sit.
Chat...It's ok.
He (whispered) doesn't bite.

"Coffee Mayfair?"

"Sure... I'd love a cup- espresso of course- ha ha ha."

"Mayfair you really crack me up sometimes!"

"I know.. I know.. I could crush you if I wanted to ya know...but I would never do that. EVER!"

"I love you Mayfair."
"I love ya back buddy."

One of the most interesting, quite remarkable and UN- boring fragrance I've ever sniffed!

I'm sure some will complain because of the price point here but you really do get what you pay for.

Also... What ever happened to a good "haggle" now and then?
I got this for a super price (with $100 worth of samples) simply because I asked. Heh heh heh (that's my mob laugh)

But I digress..

Sample first. PLEASE??!!

The verdict : (from the Latin- "truth")

Scent- 9/10
Projection- this ones tricky 7-8.45377/10 -Weather :-/
Sillage: leaves a "Moses parts the Red Sea" wake... 9.5/10
Longevity- 8.5/10 (sometimes it borders eternal-Weather :-/)

Overall I have to give this a 8.9999/10

Or.....

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Sorry ;)

This is quite a fantastic fragrance. Boadicea the Victorious Mayfair is a honeyed warm animal toned leather with a very soft dry wood base note. The fragrance has a husky feel but is quietly strong and assured in its presence by having this soft dry wood base. The warmth and spice of the leather comes from cardamom and clove introducing beeswax as a top note to the oud leather, beeswax also accounts for some animalic character. Civet in the base also adds a feral salty touch to the warm leathery oud middle notes. Mayfair is one of the better leather fragrances I have had the pleasure of trying and definitely one of the stars of the recently released "Gold Collection" from Boadicea. I highly recommend this one for fans of leather.
