Mon Vetiver

Dry, clean, light and refined. Perfect for work. Dusty with some tea-notes and the vetiver is a little mature to me, but not in an old or out-of-style way. It just seems like a more serious scent, best for a suit or button-up shirt.

Average performance. Projection is adequate but a few extra sprays on clothes might be needed to get noticed and make it last.

Surely a safe and sound swig of gin and lime spilling on a Haitian vetiver stalk, seamlessly shaken and stirred in lavender, encian, juniper and casherman essences that as a collective whiff treads on familiarity yet tonic pleasantry; one that is freshly light and sharply clean with typical limited performance lasting a warm weather picnic. Here the vetiver is nuanced and in the guise of a likable soda, one that is an easy breezy sip at a favourable premium and comparable to other 7-UP spritzes on the perfume menu. Remarkable? Unique? No… Simply nice to a fault and one that neither waxes the olfactory or wanes it, only fizzes as most cocktails generally do.

Only having experienced / owned Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver edp, and the legendary Guerlain Vetiver, I quickly realized vetiver is a note I thoroughly enjoy, and happily acquired a sample. Mon Vetiver by Essential Parfums delights--standing proudly on its own. Perhaps it's the gin accord that makes this one unique.

The performance--as with Bois Imperial from the same line--is impressive. Not a loud projector, it seems to sit appropriately close to the skin, and lasts for quite some time. Can't imagine this beauty offending anyone, and IMO, it very versatile--but shines in the summer. Will be purchasing a full bottle soon.

I find this to be a very easy to wear vetiver. It's Not dark, damp or earthy. It fresh and can be worn all year. the gin accord works very well with the vetiver. I get a good 9 hours of wear. Overall I do like this one have worn it to work without offending anyone. Again this is a very clean fresh vetiver.
