Mmmmm, warm, honeyed, creamy, sexy, ambery sweetness! For me this is the perfect marriage between two of my favourite notes, jasmine & amber. No other notes try to interfere with or break up this blissful relationship, nor should they. l so wish l could find a version of this with greater sillage & longevity, it would be my HG for sure!

Run of the mill jasmine, but weak. Should use a whole sample. May bring up more notes in spring or summer.

After the first burst of bergamot citrus MB settles into a warm soft rounded oriental fragrance. On my skin, the next 15 minutes see the gardenia coming through and from then on it is a subtle dialogue between jasmine and gardenia in the warm shade of amber. The feeling of the perfume on the skin reminds me of the feeling when wearing darphin aromatic oils, it stays close to the skin but then unexpectedly whiffs into your consciousness intermittently through the day. It ends up on the very light side of sweet and velvety like. (I am not sure that natural fragrances should be compared to the synthetic ones, but if so, for me there is a fleeting reminiscence of Parfum de Therese here. The two belong to two different worlds, the PdT's is a world of enhanced, highlighted and somewhat extreme joys, MB is a much more understated companion which will tempt you to look closer rather than scare you off if the enhancement is not exactly of your type). This being said, the staying power of MB is good few hours (I've witnessed perfumes disappear from my skin in five minutes).
