Mr. Pink

Campfire smoky, almost leathery, amber containing butter and woody radiance aromachemical drying down to an ambroxan vanilla.

After draining the sample over multiple wearings, the only conclusion I can come to is that it's "interesting."

"Interesting" = "Creative, but a terrible idea poorly executed" as said by a professor struggling to come up with some positive feedback and making their best attempt to not be condescending.

Mr. Pink may have made more sense to me if the perfumer did at least one of the following:
- Left out the butter note.
- Left out the woody radiance aromachemical.

Mr. Pink suffers from the "I would have smelled better if I wasn't wearing this" problem.
At least he tried something different.

An incredibly tenacious opening that falls right in line with the performance you'd expect from Mancera or Montale. Loud (nuclear) and long lasting (until it is scrubbed off.) A spray (mine from a sample) will last all day and create a scent cloud that encompasses you and stretches several feet beyond.
It opens bright (yuzu and bergamot), fruity, and fresh ... with a whisper of the tropics followed by an intensely sweet and soft candied/comforting vanilla. A light resinous smoke swirls behind it all. The smoke isn't overbearing. I am intrigued because normally I'm turned off by such potently sweet gourmands yet I'm not here and I cannot tell if I love or hate what I'm smelling. To my nose, It's very pleasant yet it is on the verge of being obnoxious. Although, Mr. Pink never quite crosses the line of being cloyingly sweet. It teeters that line and pushes the envelope for my senses. It's a cacophony of fragrant notes hitting your olfactory system from all sorts of angles. I think it works but again, I'm unsure. If you read the note breakdown, you can envision and detect each accord that is listed in this scent breakdown. I am nowhere near ready to buy it but also not writing it off as a pass.
