The opening blast immediately exposes me to two of the core notes of this creation: saffron and oud.

The saffron is well-made, a touch deeper that what I would call 'fresh' and is quite nice. The oud impression oils beautiful with a very subtle tanginess; this oud is neither unduly harsh nor in any way intrusive - quite restrained for an Attar actually.

Soon this top notes' dyad is enriched by a smooth incense that is blending in well with the top notes, being neither very ceremonial and without any balsamic-medicinal undertone. Later on a soft ambery undertone adds additional complexity.

In the base a somewhat unexciting vanilla is added and provides the only slight sweetness that this scent develops on my skin, which is somewhat counterbalanced by a rather perfunctory hint of a mossy vibe.

The sillage is moderate, and projection adequate and the longevity is ten hours, with the last four hours being very close to my skin.

A nice oud-based Oriental autumnal scent that is a bit on the underperforming side compared to most attars I know, but the good quality of its ingredients results in a - barely - positive score. 3/5.
