Bruno Acampora Perfums is one of the most relevant expressions of italian artisanal craftsmanship in perfumery. It is internationally known and appreciated for the high quality of the implemented ingredients (in particular its world-famous musc) and the style of its artisanal creations inspired by many exotic Bruno's trips and excursions all around the world (far lands, exotic islands, asian hidden towns, mystic venues etc) and by his mundane life and the idea of personal dandy elegance to express in the most important events in the great international capitals (he was used to be hystrionically present at). There is in particular a strongest olfactory asset, an olfactory common thread among these fragrances represented by an high quality of vegetal musk, an hypnotic ingredient inspired by the aroma of woodsy resins heated by the sun and conjuring the venetian halleys. This is just partially a reproduction of animalic musk's nuances being mostly and most properly a vegetal resinous kind of intense white and camphoraceous musc. This musc is absolutely wonderful in its camphoraceous, sensual, kind of warm-organic and mild spicy essence. Earthy patchouli and musc are heady and soon on the stage. Musc Eau de Parfum (2012) is one of Acampora's masterpieces and an example of quite bold, distinctive, presenceful and commanding dominant-musc fragrance a la Perris Montecarlo Musk Extreme or Kiehl's Musc oil. This is basically a most intense version of the original Bruno Acampora Musc edt (1975). This fragrance is dark, floral, spicy (strong on cloves), aromatic, dusty, camphoraceous and vaguely musty. The aroma is almost identical to the one of its born in 1975 older brother, just initially brighter, fresher and more aromatic but finally soapier and cleaner. The original smell is kind of slightly darker and more musty on me. This fragrance warms gradually down towards a really sensual and bold commanding smell with a sort of self-confident inner ambery-musky-woody-clove laced erotism and an uncompromising virile restraint. Super musky. A sort of simil-organic ambergris completes the evolution with all its spicy-resinous warmth. There is a floral core perceivable in its first aromatic stage and a just barely along the way but it gradually disappears in the general musky powder. In particular the note of leafy violet (the main floral pattern imo) is perfectly laced with dark earthy-camphoraceous elements and a final hint of powder while cloves in particular provide a peppery warm trail. A touch of vanilla soothes and laces finally all the elements in a perfect harmony. The bottom line is that this fragrance represents the epitome of musks in the modern perfumery and hardly I'm able to retrieve best vegetal "simil organic" musks somewhere all around. Performances are relevant on my skin, most of all in terms of duration.
