A jammy nectarininc floral fragrance by which the great Francis Kurkdjian reinterprets a vintage massive fruity/floral concept while turning it in to a contemporary cleaner (but still classic-retró) vest. The jammy ripe fruity vibe is apparent throughout while providing a sort of massive (but never out of the box) chypré twist along the first part of the evolution. The first intensely mellow fruity blast is definitely kind of stuffy and slightly sultry (vaguely tropical). On this stage some sweet spices and ripe fruits enhance a sort of slightly boozy intense beat (just temporarily "redolent" and beating). There is as well a sort or slightly minty spark in the air which is kind of ghosty and hard to be noticed. This stage conjures me vaguely several 80/90's fruity florals heavyweights a la Cacharel Eden, Gianni Versace or Dior Poison but in a way cleaner, less "massive" and kaleidoscopic interpretation. This intense fruity (kind of peachy-plummy) opening is like a ripe liquorous nectar (anyway never really honeyed or overly mellow) encompassing the floral notes. As soon as the initial ripeness starts gradually fading the floral notes (mostly rose and jasmine) rise in all their classic elegance. In the meawhile the ambery presence quickly emerges in its excellent calibration (never overly sultry) warming up the aroma and providing its classic resinous wake. It matches perfectly with a bold slightly rooty patchouli in order to create a perfect balance between florals and fruitiness. My Burberry Black is masterfully blended by one of the top contemporary perfumers. The initial ripeness is fleeting since it beautifully recedes in to a sort of modern muskiness (an ambery/musky delicate fruity-floral scent) due to exalt the following floral elegance. The dry down is sooo beautiful on my skin (classy, sensual, modern and with a perfect retrò feel). This is a fragrance for a gorgeous contemporary woman which, despite projected to a radiant future, is still connected to the values of a left back glorious age of uncompromising class and palatine upper-class decadent gorgeousness. More than good performances on my skin and beautiful heavy classy bottle.

A fruity floral that's not too badly done, but it's so diffusive
one small spray on a card and it sucks all the air out the room.

My favorite of the contemporary fragrances I've tried. A fruity floral and amber blend that smells a bit retro and classic.
Sillage is good, but for me, it lacks longevity. After five hours, there is only the faintest trace left and I have to put my wrist to my nose to detect it. And I'd like it better if it was a bit heavier, vampier. Still, one can always reapply!

A very beautiful mix of rose and peach, with a present amber and "green" patchouli. I don't get the jasmine but I don't care. I get a slight gourmand side, praline may be. It's very original. Sillage and longevity are both good. Well done, worth a full bottle.
