As the name is hinting at, this perfume is about leather. Whilst the opening blast is also enriched by a saffron note in the background, the leather clearly rules form the first to the last moment.

It is quite a restrained leather, especially at the beginning, grows in strength gradually but is never really in your face - this is a more discreet and elegant antithesis to Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather. It is dark-ish, polished, with little tannin, and neither particularly sweet nor smoky. I get no gasoline element á la Knize Ten.

A few other additions make for some variations of the leathery theme, like a touch of floral influences in the drydown and a bit of an amber impression in the base.

I get moderate sillage, good projection and nine hours of longevity on my skin.

This autumnal scent is pleasant, well-behaved, and the leather concept is executed well in a manner that is neither too generic nor too egregiously synthetic. Not especially creative but a solid product. 3.25/5.
