Night Veils : Midnight Candy

The opening notes is quite interesting, with an iris- not particularly sweet - combining with a herbal-cum-carrot undertone. Nice and unexpected.

The base continues the floral theme, with a jasmine constituting the core nite; a somber violet impression with touches of orris and woodsy whiffs add a few nuances to the whole.

The base is a bit sweeter, although not intensively so. An osmanthus adds some depth and some creaminess that lasts until the end, fading out gradually.

I get moderate sillage, adequate projection and seven hours of longevity on my skin.

This pleasant spring scent is overall quite a restrained affair and never very intense, although it has enough colour such as not to become thinned out too much. Not without its original side and not too generic. 3/5.
