The opening blast starts with a nice blackcurrant note that is aromatic but not really very sweet.

Then the central player takes position: a nice rose, quite dark, rich and initially pure bloom, but later undertones of rose leaves and woodsy hints of stems are present also.

Further into the drydown a restrained incense develops and provides additional depth to the rose core.

Then, very gradually, a patchouli arises that remains a main force deeply into the base. It is quite a dark but not too crisp patchouli that last any brutal harshness or sharpness. Unlike seen so often in other perfumery products, this patchouli, whilst emanently synthetic in nature, does not pretend to be a synthetic wannabe oud.

I get moderate sillage, very good projection and a splendid thirteen hours of longevity on my skin.

This spring scent is very suitable as an evening fragrance and one example where the name is actually very appropriate. Whilst essentially a rose-patchouli based creation, it has enough depth to see it throughout its whole development. The performance of this rather viscous perfume extract is excellent overall. 3.25/5.
