Noir Adnan B. Review
Noir opens with a blast of citrus and pepper. It comes across quite harsh to my nose, but then quickly softens up nicely with a hint of apple. I would certainly not describe the opening as being overly fruity or bright.
The mid is where this fragrance truly shines. It has a beautiful combination of smoke and patchouli. I always enjoy this portion of the fragrance during my wearings.
The dry down is a combination of amber, vanilla, and musk. The amber is the star here. It has a dark and syrupy quality on my skin.
I would not describe this as an Aventus clone. This has no pineapple opening. The dry down smells completely different. The mid does smell quite similar. Both Aventus and Noir nail the masculine smokiness at the heart of the fragrance. Noir is much more patchouli heavy though.
I smell zero similarities with Cedrat Boise. I absolutely adore Cedrat and wear it several times a week. This does not compare in the slightest. Take this with a grain of salt though. Many of these comments vary in opinions and I differ on many of them. I'm not sure why.
This is certainly a quality fragrance. That can't be denied. It smells like it should cost $200 or more. Even though it's a quality scent, it's certainly not one of my favorites. I find the dry down to be a bit off putting at times. Still, when the mood hits, this one gets the job done.

Without a doubt the best part of Noir is the dry down of musk and woods. Its opening is nowhere near as successful as its ending but nevertheless it is decent. Noir does have a vague similarity to Aventus with its fruity opening but it should be accepted as its own fragrance instead of being viewed as an Aventus clone. The fruity opening of Noir is apple, bergamot and blackcurrant covered with pencil shavings wrapped up in a plastic shopping bag. It is synthetic but in a good way. The sweet bitter white apple note is the dominant of the three. Average longevity and sillage. For the price Noir is most certainly a gem of a fragrance, on some occasions it can smell more costly and luxurious than it actually is...

A nice, wearable clone of Aventus but more harshly synthetic, less sweet and missing some of the freshness found in CDNIM, which is probably a better scent to compare against based on price than anything from Creed or even Parfums Vintage. The clone it reminds me of most is Glenn Perri's Unpredictable Adventure which also leans to the smokey side of Aventus clones.
Projection is just okay while it lasts, which for me was only about 4-5 hours.

I don't quite get the Aventus clone references, although the first initial blast has that vibe very close, but for only the initial spray and top notes. It almost immediately dissipates into more distinct, very different notes. I get a strong apple and wood, a slightly bitter pine so "pine" , "apple" could be close? With a not too overpowering musky-vanilla base that sits just under them, chillin'. masculine, sweet, dark, woodsy, like walking into the right shop in a bizarre that sells the perfect rug you've been looking for all day , a little sweet oriental incense vibe . Very unique, pleasant somewhat murky scent that cannot easily be overlooked without some hesitation. I would have no problem wearing this on a first date to set a good tone. I am a Versace and Varvatos fan and this fits right in there with me. Slightly sweet, slightly woody, very masculine and unique. Also, as of 6 hours later still going strong and steady. Doesn't seem to be too bothersome to those around me but still complimentary the office atmosphere. The Nose that made this one is a nose I'll keep a sniff out for.
Obviously influenced by Aventus, Noir is a potent, long-lasting perfume in a nice, substantial bottle. It stays together relatively well, unlike some of the other knockoff type of fragrances. Pineapple is not listed as a note above, but it's pretty prominent at the top. Noir is available at a fraction of Aventus; I got mine at the outlets in Las Vegas but I haven't seen it at the usual mainstream locales. This is a solid addition to the wardrobe, especially for those who don't have a Creed budget.
