Company description: Osun’s symbols are hand mirrors, brass fans, brass needles, brass bells, sunflowers, and her creatures are the cricket and the peacock. Her ofrenda is thick with honey and herbs of love, passion and desire.

Osun opens with an accord that reminds me of that pink syrup you buy to flavor children’s milk at birthday parties. Presumably some combination of fruit, honey, and rose, the scent is so artificially-flavored that it is difficult to discern anything of its origin in nature. This sort of thing might be pleasant in a functional product, but when presented as a concentrated perfume oil, it is stomach churning. In the later stages of its development, there is a trace of something green and metallic, possibly geranium leaf. However, this late leafiness cannot and does not save Osun from being unforgivably juvenile.
