Mega-sweet concoction in the Oud Satin Mood manner, here with a huge dose of vanilla crème-pat and a side of rosy Turkish delight, with a rather whiny synthetic oud (somewhere between nail varnish and paint stripper) thrown in, in an attempt – one suspects – to make it seem more ‘serious’. If that sounds stomach-turning, it is. I keep getting visions of Dame Edna Everage’s puke face.
Improves a bit during the wear (frankly anything would be an improvement after such a dismal start) with the syrup thinning out and a carpenter’s workshop raw woods note taking over from the initial ‘oud’ effort.
