Gauloise made a fragrance??

No, Molyneux made a fragrance called “Gauloise,” which is a rather grand, archaic, and feminine way of saying “French.” The cigarette brand adds an “s” (“Gauloises”), so Molyneux dodged trademark infringement—at least, I can’t find a case.

And, as @Avecesar says, I own it and I should wear it more often. It works just fine as a masculine.

SOTD: Molyneux - Gauloise EdT

Syncing with @Colbourne

The pyramid in the BN directory says this has jasmine and tuberose in the heart, but I don't get the latter at all, and the former is of the least indolic kind, playing a supportive role. It's an aldehydic green floral (hyacinth, rose, muguet) over a base with all the right stuff, thankfully not in a heavy-handed way. Easily unisex, sublimely balanced. Well worth the currently typical price of $2/ml.
