Parfums Retro

Parfums Rétro was formed in 2013 by creative director Jeffrey Dame and perfumer Hugh Spencer. "After three decades of friendship and working together in perfumery Jeffrey Dame and Hugh Spencer share a unique olfactory language in communicating with each other about perfume concepts in the most incisive of terms - much like how they approach a perfume formula. They share a sensory vocabulary and a post-modern vision which allows for a very dynamic creative process. Rambling daily conversations between the men about ingredient sourcing, formula intricacies and quirky perfume people stories results in an approach to fragrance creation which is uniquely their own. In short Jeffrey Dame and Hugh Spencer make what they like quickly and unfettered - and they like some very cool stuff indeed."
