This is not the 'Patchouli Noir' I was hoping for!

I expected a dark, earthy, slightly mysterious fragrance in line with the name. This is absolutely not what I get from this fragrance.

This is in no way a 'dark' or 'noir' fragrance, instead, it is an overly sweet, loudly projecting vanilla/tonka/musk 'gourmand' style, with a meek amount of barely there patchouli hiding in the background.

The 'compliment' I received when wearing this fragrance was "Something smells like sweet fly spray...".

And in case anybody is wondering, my bottle was purchased from an Authorised Retailer.

There are many far better patchouli fragrances out there than this. For a better patchouly experience try:
