Latest Reviews of Pineapple Vintage
I just re-sampled Pineapple Vintage. I got samples from Parfums Vintage sometime ago, when it was much cheaper to buy them.
When I wore it yesterday, it completely reminded me of Prada's Carbon. I just checked the price of Carbon ,and a 1.7 is selling for $40. A 3.4 would run you about $60. Pineapple Vintage Classic would set you back $109 for a 100 ml.
Pineapple Vintage does last on my skin. It does project for a decent amount of time.
Then again, so does Carbon. I know someone, where I work, who wears it and I can smell it on him for sometime.
Carbon's smoother.
Both are nice.
I spritzed Pineapple Vintage on a friend at work, he liked . He said it reminded him of Sauvage.
Seems like it's the same aroma chemicals, just with more of this ,less of that.

It's not Aventus, but it's very nice.
I thought it would be another disappointing clone, but the 50ml bottle I just got from Parfums Vintage is excellent.
Bright golden pineapple with enough musk, birch and vanilla to keep things Aventus-like.
Honestly by itself it's very nice. I enjoy wearing it.

I like this a lot, it gets compliments. A nice pineapple scent with robust sillage and longevity. After 6 hours on my skin someone mentioned it smelled like tobacco. I like Creed Aventus but I think I prefer Pineapple Vintage by half-a-notch. It seems to have a slightly better kick to it.
Obviously another take on Aventus but better than most if not all. The opening is like a fruity batch of Aventus. Into the drydown, the similarities continue, still smells very much like Aventus. The one thing I would say is that it doesn't smell as full, rich or refined as the Aventus batches I have smelled. That's just my experience and I'm really only describing maybe a 10% difference.
I get really good performance with good projection for 4-5 hours and then it sits close to skin the rest of the day. If I'm comparing to Aventus, it's not as strong a performer but still very good.

I got this recently. Not worth the price. It is a little bit weaker than the Intense, but not much. The performance is acceptable for this one (I get 5-6 hours with moderate sillage and projection). However, this is not cheap. And if you put everything together (scent/performance/price) you will understand it's not worth it. It seems like what this company wanted to do was to capitalize on the Aventus market; they know that Aventus is the king and a lot of people want it but may be not willing to pay that price for it. Also they realized the market has some pretty solid cheaper aventus clones; so what they wanted to do was to come up with a product that was a little better than the cheaper clones and charge a higher price for it. It's an excellent business plan. Did they succeed in doing that? Absolutely not.
The quality of this juice is 10-20% better than the cheaper clones. Is it worth this price? Absolutely not.
If you want Aventus just save and get the real deal, or if you do not want to pay much get the cheaper clones. This is an absolute waste of money.
The correct price for this juice is 50% of what Pineapple Vintage is asking. Once it reaches that price you will get your money's worth.
By the way, this does not compare to Aventus in terms of quality. Anyone who says this is close to Aventus is unable to distinguish the notes. But people around you do notice a higher vs a lower quality cologne. This is a cheap imitation. Don't waste yoir money and buy the real deal.

I just got the Intense version of this scent & omg is it incredible. As an Aventus lover, this is going to hurt to admit, THIS BLOWS AVENTUS COMPLETELY OUT OF THE WATER! Better projection/sillage & it lasts twice as long. My wife loves aventus so i did a blind test with her... on initial spray, mid & dry down and she picked THE INTENSE on all three! All I can say is WOW! They should change the name of this to, "Bye Bye Aventus!"
