Quatre Intense
Boucheron (2016)

Quatre Intense is a faint "upgrade" of the overly mediocre original Quatre's formula (a previous dull musky-citric-floral Boucheron's appointment overly tart, boring and soapy). Quatre Intense is carefree, bright, dynamic and just a tad more lifely in comparison with the corpse of its musky-citric predecessor. Heliotrope, wild strawberries and a soothing tad of vanilla tame down the "original" straightforward tartness providing a tad of colour, mellow juiciness, almondy dustiness and balmy silkiness. Quatre Intense is still longly citric and musky-soapy but with a tad of brightness and cool fruity mellowness provided by vanilla, strawberries and heliotrope (the latter imprinting all around a tad of dusty/talky-floral kind of vaguely almondy/balsamic intensity a la Chanel Mademoiselle Coco, while scaling down the leafy/citric-floral original Quatre's sourness). Along the short way the tart opening aroma gradually evolves towards something softer with a "white" final balmy almondy spark (chic and highly "designer"). This is a young lady like optimistic perfume unpretentious and versatile whatever season you prefer wearing it along the year.
