A light, airy, powdery iris that says “100% Atelier Cologne” with a fruity sweetness behind it. It dries with a musk to make it serious. I tried “Musc Impérial” from the same house on the other wrist. It's the same musk, except “Rendez-Vous” would be considered much more feminine. Performances are good.

Opens with powdery iris, osmanthus which provides a peachy accord, violet leaf and a touch of freshness. Very light suede, barely noticeable. Rendez Vous is pretty linear to my nose and doesn't really change from the powdery peachy suede smell.

Citrus and suede with a touch of violet and iris. Very nice! Kind of feminine, but can be pulled off by us fellas. 7.5/10

(7/23/17) ATELIER: This brand is on a quest to become the best or at least vie for the running!! What a brand; a sleeper; a brand that is slowly creeping to the top of the list of greats! Might not be considered "niche" for many, however, it is inching its way to that level!!

(7/26/17) Just received this juice and I must say, its better than what I was expecting. Rendez-Vous is green and slightly sweet, but very much so suede. This is not a leathery suede inducing fragrance, but because of the Iris and violet leaf those notes are more reserved adding a somewhat floral vibe to the composition. The dominant players in this are the Pink pepper, White Musk, Suede, Patchouli, and Bergamot all working in concert with the others as to not becoming a one man show.

Less pungent than Silver Iris, more less suede-ish or leather-ish than Camelia Intrepide. This one sits between the two....

Rendez-Vous is a nice fresh fragrance. Glad to have it.....

Giving a thumbs up because it is pleasantly nice, but this leans more mature/feminine to me/for me. Definitely reminds me of something an attractive, smart, 50+ lady would wear. It's the powdery floral notes that give this effect. It's like getting a hug from your grandma when you're a teenager.

Performance is very good, lasts all day and projects nicely.

Rendez-Vous delicately opens with a transparent bergamot / lemon-citrus with the lightest whisper of pink pepper… seriously light and fresh. Subsequently the fragrance moves to a floral accord dominated by osmanthus and iris – this heart accord is as transparent as the opening but holds for a longer time… about forty-fifty minutes. I don't get the violet leaf note, and I'm grateful for that. The drydown is basically suede ameliorated by white musk.

It is difficult to find a vocabulary for this scent because all the descriptive elements center on the same motif: “light, soft, gentle, mild, transparent, delicate, whisper, suggestion …. the whole thesaurus” The scent itself is so… transparent yet graspable… that Rendez-Vous is a league of its own.
