Rose ringed with shampooed-clean musks and powders, served up with a nice thwack of citrus up top. The pink fruitiness that creeps up (identified as lychee but just a vague sweetness to my nose) does no favours in terms of establishing an identity, rather it pushes the entire thing into increasingly generic terrain. Plays safely within the middle ground that Essential offerings seem intent on occupying, but will not even put a toe over the line. Thus, pleasant and wearable for some, but not particularly memorable or luxurious. And so, for me, inessential.

A clean, wearable rose scent. My favorite rose is Rose 31, a seductive scent that has some dirty or animalic, like cumin. But Rose Magnetic isn't dirty at all. It's a clean floral rose soap. Very enjoyable.

Projection is pretty good without being annoying. I get 8+ hours longevity.

This is a really pleasant rose fragrance, quality at each stage of development, and a steal for the price! Well done. I like the contrast between the rose/lychee and the sharper aspects of the grapefruit and mint, settling into a blurred light velvet petal with just the lightest powder and vanilla facets. If I didn't already own Shanti Shanti by Miller et Bertaux for my rose fix, I would buy this. I still might get the 10mL mini.
