My initial impression of Rouge Chaotique wasn't very positive, but upon further exploration, I discovered it was a delightful blend of plum, rather than the anticipated rose and oud combination. The initial confusion stemmed from the fruity and sweet top notes, paired with the suggestive name 'rouge.' Surprisingly, the intensity of the fragrance sets it apart from the rest of the brand's offerings. I particularly appreciate the harmonious fusion of saffron, plum, and oud. While the oud note may resemble a lower-tier, inexpensive Middle Eastern quality, its amalgamation with the other elements works remarkably well. I found the incorporation of colorants and dyes in the fragrance somewhat unnecessary, although I can discern the creative intent behind the decision.
