With cardamom, sandalwood and tonka as a base this is a very lite soft sandalwood and all the other notes compliment and add slight tones to the sandalwood essence. Immediately after spraying I can hardly smell it, but there it is far in the distance, a soft, subtle, dry and very pleasant sandalwood. The bergamot and jasmine adds a little expansive movement. The Hinoki adds a slight green cedar wood touch to the base making the sandalwood a slight green tone. I like the subtlety of this sandalwood. I don't smell any coconut or fig which are common to many sandalwoods and also not much spice here either. The natural softness of sandalwood is complimented beautifully here. Add this to a long list of nicely done contemporary sandalwood perfumes.

I like this handsome, woody, spicy fragrance. I do not know much about this perfume house, but this is a linear, natural-smelling fragrance, which seems to have utilised high-quality ingredients. It reminds me of the smell of the furniture department of an antiques arcade: a fusion of different types of woods, lovingly admired and polished over the decades with various waxes and sprays. It is classy, spicy and earthy. I would recommend that you sample this if you enjoy high-end, gently woody/spicy perfumes.

Not really typical of sandalwood in my opinion. More in the direction of coconut/fig, with a note making me think of lauryl alcohol or the detergent used for bubble blowing. And especially of a powerful Firmenich speciality called Cedarome. The vintage formula of Cedar Wood for men by Goya also had this smell.
