Amouage (2023)

7/28/24 - This is a brief preliminary review. I've just received a little decant of this from Scentbird and have sprayed it on a card. I have an immediate favorable reaction to the frankincense. I can't get enough, it's like crack to me. Combined with the cade and guaiacwood, it's an intoxicatingly spicy, smokey, woody feeling. The lemon and vetiver are very subtle.

I cannot wait to try this on my skin. I'm sure it will be a different experience from smelling it on a card, but I have a good feeling about it.

On good days, this was a high-quality citrus vetiver with a liquidity that made for interesting smelling.
On not-so-good days, I got high-end furniture polished with a bougie version of Lemon Pledge.
The dry-down was a slightly sweetened citrus vetiver incense during each wearing.
I liked the dry-down more than the opening.
Glad I encountered Search, but I won't be seeking more.

Citrus explosion that is suited for spring and summer. Unisex fragrance that can be worn in cooler weather as well, due to the sillage in this beast. Gives me that Lalique White vibe, but in a more quality edition. Has a chemical feel, but this only last for a few minutes. I get the vetiver and pepper notes in Search, and it's right in your face. As with most Amouage frangrances, go easy on the sprays. 6.5/10
