Seplasia is at first a thrilling explosion of green notes - freshly-cut grass, sliced green peppers, lime juice, and succulent green leaves that leaks a milky sap when you snap them in two. It smells invigorating, but not mean. These green notes eventually reveal a white floral note that’s more like gardenia than tuberose, with its distinctly slippery, saline feel. There may be galbanum in the mix, because the white floral is clipped by a forceful green resinousness. Overall, the tone of Seplasia is wonderfully dry, green, and gritty.

Unfortunately, something goes terribly awry in the base. A rooty vetiver arrives and proceeds to turn things to pure soap. In Seplasia’s dying gasp, all that remains on the skin are vaguely unpleasant traces of disinfectant, as if you had vigorously washed your hands but neglected to rinse away the residue. Seplasia’s opening is delightfully fresh, but by hour two we are already in mourning for the untimely passing of the juicy green magic of its opening.

This is great! It's a fresh, sharp, green, citrus - it reminds me of all the ones I love - Cristalle, Tiare, etc, but also has a feel of the chypre of Prima T, although it's lighter and brighter. It has a coastal feel about it, although it's not exactly aquatic - evoking summer citrus and flowers and possibly pine, all above brightly crashing waves of foamy blue-green water. It's a breath of fresh air, but it has the Acampora depth as well, drying down in a few hours to a very pleasant skin scent with musk. Although I have already reapplied to get those first couple of hours again!

Sorry to disagree with Darvant, but this scent seems to me a masculine detergent! The top notes are not charming. Almost stink. The scent gets better later. But it's not enough for a thumb up.

After Sballo another majestic floral accord which is in this case more inclined towards a musky/soapy final floral rendition than to a more classically woody chypre massive/rich traditional approach. Another Acampora's landmark musk for us (the super Acampora's musk is surely here indeed as olfactory base). Seplasia is marvellously floral over a soapy/boise olfactory basement. Violet and musk are in my opinion the standout notes immediately followed by rose, vetiver and ylang-ylang. The aroma is more modern and approachable than in Sballo and the smooth and musky final soapiness enriched by a variegated floral bouquet exudes a sort of iris effect (despite the floral accord is here intense, violet/ylang-ylang oriented and almost fruity in effect- like for a subtle berrish presence). The dry down is incredibly smooth and musky and the musc quality is the proverbial Acampora's one, effectively the best I've experienced among dozens. The final outcome, over a fluidy orange/lemon/violet centered shadowy first stage, is one of best musky floral of the modern perfumery, a superb musk/tamed vetiver/soap with accents of violet, tuberose, soapy/boise rose and ylang-ylang. Proud about this glorious italian brand which pairs and surpasses in artistry and quality dozens of more "treated" and exalted brands here on basenotes. Acampora is up with the the best of the best.
P.S= i've tested extrait and pure essence.
