Singapore is an uneasy marriage between a jammy fir note and a sour, leathery Hindi oud that turns bilious on the skin. The fresher notes of white jasmine and bamboo do little to alleviate the sweet-and-sour heaviness of the blend. In the later stages, the spicy oud note settles into a calm, spicy leather that is quite pleasing. However, it is a bit of a trial to get there.
