"A century of elegance and extravagance! La Coupole has covered times and fashions, while inside the emotion has remained the same. The wish to reinvent oneself. The pleasure of looking and discovering. The joy of possessing the object of desire. To honor the most beautiful dome of Paris, we created a unique fragrance, with notes inspired by these thrilling moments. Its name: Sous le Toit de Paris." -- Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel, Creators and Founders of Atelier Cologne

Sous le toit Paris
Not one to write home about for me.
Clean, green, leafy. Slightly fizzy in the opening and quickly mellows.
Difficult to pick out notes. There is some green-grassy vetiver (definitely not the smokey type - more the fresh chopped carrot type), airy violet leaf, faint non-descript floral and citrus, G&T impression. Quite a bit going on but I can't really class it as a leather scent at all. There may be wafts of cedar and lime. Very polite overall, and actually comes across well in the heat e.g. 30 degrees.
From AC I think Musk Imperial does a similar theme in a far more striking way. Also more female leaning. For a female wanting a Parisienne style green scent, Chanel #19 and it's variants may be more striking. For a male, clean vetivers e.g. Mugler Cologne may do. AC are yet to nail a compelling Vetiver scent.
Overall 65/100

Green, sour and sharp. Lime with geranium and vetiver are all playing the biggest role at the start but then the violet leaf catches them and moves upfront. Then there is a transition through softer and creamy notes lead by tonka.

For some reason, this reminds me of Dunhill Icon. Might be that grape leather vibe.

Clean citrus opening of quality notes – Neroli, bergamot and bigarade. It's an enjoyable opening but distinguished only by the high quality of the materials and its precise but unimaginative performance. The middle level – with its violet leaf, geranium, and vetiver – exhibits a more creative character than the opening, especially when the geranium reaches its full development… it has become quite catching. Again, very good quality notes and it performs very nicely, but I personally dislike the violet leaf note. The base is tonka, musk and leather and I find it enjoyable even though I usually don't care for leather. I agree that it has an animalic tone to it, but, even so, it does not cross the line of being a neutral, non-dramatic fragrance.

Sous le toit de Paris (Under the Roof of Paris) is a pleasant sent of very good quality. Not dramatic… having quiet sillage, decent longevity… wearable, dependably performing, not exciting.

For a light and airy fragrance, there seems to be a lot going on right off the bat. Starts off fresh, mildly sweet before running through a gamut of notes/accords from the bittersweet violet leaf, to the aromatic tang of bigarade right down to the surprising, rather French element - a skin-warm sensual leathery musk. As it settles down I mostly smell it as a delicate violet leaf scent over a light base of tonka bean.

It wears close, seldom venturing beyond a handspan, pushing out a little further with body heat. Although marketed as unisex, its delicate features seem more suited to the fairer sex, the soft hints of sweet floral leather reminding me a little of Hermes Kelly Caleche. Unconventional perhaps but undeniably attractive.

A nice smelling fragrance that is very familiar to my nose and kind of generic, but it's a good one with very well balanced aroma and quite versatile.
The opening is a semi fresh, semi sweet, green and leafy smell with a little bit of floral notes in the background.
Violet leaf is the main note at the start but there are other notes surrounding it that give the scent more character.
There is some citruses and they give the scent slightly fresh feeling but they will fade away very quick.
There are some leather, musk and geranium beside other notes as well, but they are completely in the background.
As time goes by the geranium note gets a little stronger and give the scent a powdery floral feeling but also you will get more leather that give the scent a bitter smoky feeling and at the same time tonka bean kicks in.
The tonka bean has a sweet vanilla like smell but it has also a naughty feeling too!
In the base leather and tonka bean taking the lead and push everything else in the background.
The base of this fragrance is a bitter sweet smoky smell with a little green violet leaf and some geranium both in the background.
The scent keep you entertained and that's something that I like about this one.
Start off semi fresh and green ..... dries down to a semi sweet powdery with a little dirty feeling and finally a sweet, dark smoky scent at the end.
Projection is above average and longevity is around 6-8 hours on my skin.
