Dried fruit, rum, vanilla and patchouli that tones down the cedar in the original and while sweeter, still manages to smell close to the original S2H's DNA. While I like the Extreme scent much better, it still underperforms on my skin, with minimal sillage and longevity for a niche fragrance ar $325 for 50ml. I like it but won't consider purchasing it.

A boozy star of prunes, ages rum and a slightly sharp undertone that reminds me of some synthetic ouds.

This latter notes gets stronger in the drydown, revealing itself as a darkish patchouli, with is given a floral edge by a jasmine note that is also om the darker side; it is, however, only of minimal powderiness on me. Touches of nutmeg and whiffs machine-oil are also present.

The base turns a touch sweeter owing to a vanilla note, with an ambery woodsiness evolving with time. mainly rosewood and me with touches of cedar. Towards the and lots of white musks make an appearance too.

I get moderate sillage, excellent projection, and nine hours of longevity on my skin.

A scent with some nice ideas, buy some of the notes are rather generic, and egregiously synthetic, and not particularly convincing. Not bad, but not excellent either. 2.75/5

I owned the original STH and STHE for me is a much better offering from this house. I loved the boozy note and vanilla the most, the ceder wood note was ok, but I didn't want it to be the dominant note, which it was. Now it's the other way around now! The rum and dried fruits mixed with vanilla, is the dominant notes, and the ceder wood is now toned down to play nice with the other notes. This is a bit more pricey but it last longer so it's justified. Thank you for listening Kilian. - The Nosy Neighbor

I hadn't anticipated a flanker to the original By Kilian Straight to Heaven, but Extreme is a pleasant surprise, and addresses some of criticisms of the original.

The original is celebrated for its purity, a clean, somewhat masucline expression of cedar, which is nice, but was a bit monotonous for my taste. The boozy additions of rum and vanilla in the Extreme flanker balance out the woodiness and give the blend more depth, variance, and frankly, strength. Extreme performs better than the original.

Extreme's cost is greater, at $315 for 50ml, contra the original's current pricing of $275.

Definitely a nice take on the original, and leaning toward a boozy and sweet subgenre that I'm a fan of. One I'd clean toward buying if I could find it at a discount.
