Laughably average by design. A mishegoss of aromachemicals without definition, development or distinction. Likeable, technically.

This could be a signature scent. It's relatively gentle and as such quite sensitive to skin chemistry making it more personal and livable with. Cedar is there but it's playing in the rhythm section. Musk and rose get juggled in and out of the cedar. It is quite linear which is a good thing. How many have wonderful beginnings then awful generic peppery main performances? This is solid yet unassuming. It has character when it's looked for to be appreciated. It's a good companion rather than a hijacker of identity. Alternatively I could just say that my wife loves this. She is not keen on Lorenzo Villoresi Piper Nigrum (which I quite like but not full bottle worthy) --she finds it too strong--Ever heard the saying: if a man is in a forest and no woman hears him is he still wrong?

Fragrance: 7.75/10 --may go up if I appreciate it more in time
Projection: 7/10
Longevity: 7.75/10

One thing is for sure: this deserves more reviews especially in an instant gratification sensory overload society.

Yup, the opening blast is cedar galore, quite a rich cedar but nonetheless on the bright side. There is a green undertone, likes of leaves, and again this undertone is on the fresh side.

The drydown shows little development, except that overtime a subtle set of white musks is added, that adds a slightly richer character to the whole.

I get moderate sillage and good projection, and then this scent collapse over the next hour, remaining on my skin as a shadow for another four hours very close to my skin - digging my nose into the subcutaneous tissue will detect it.

An autumnal composition with a good cedar centre, but a bit unidimensional in its core and with disappointing performance. Still, the convincing cedar puts it - just - across the line into the positive realm. 3/5.

Super Cedar jumps off the skin in a cloud of cedar green essence. You get soft dry of the bark along with the zing of sap plus freshly cut wood. The ingredients might be boosted with iso e super to expand and project the scent, but the cedar smell is much more than iso-e. A light sassafras toned red cedar freshly cut wood like you might find in a cedar lined closet. The notes listed: rose and musk - I don't smell either of these, but possibly the musk adds the dry sawdust feel of the base note. There is so much green in the scent that vetiver is an easy note to notice. This is a Byredo that gets lots of expansiveness with the aroma of cedar while there is dry sawdust wood mixed with vetiver after the opening fades a bit. I like this fragrance very much for its aroma during the first hour or so. There is an iridescence about it that really enjoy smelling when I find it. The next morning after evening application the cedar character has died out and what is left is light patchouli/sandalwood afterglow - very light and fine tuned. This is a new favorite from Byredo for me. The scent doesn't jump out and grab you but does create and nice ambient down tempo quality to the air around you. Nice!
