This is just all around beautiful to my nose. The rose and raspberry are definitely most prominent to me, but the sweetness is tamed with a little bit of tartness from cassis or black currant. Kind of like that idea that a little bit of ugly, makes things prettier. I think that’s definitely the case with this one. The tart, and the sweet, and the elegant rose… all lie on a bed of slightly vanillic and clean fluffy musk, without being soapy. I do get some woody notes too. I’m not the best at identifying woody notes, but it’s not Sandalwood. To me, this comes off as a versatile fragrance that you can reach for in pretty much any season and for any occasion. It could work for anything I think. It is strong though… amazing longevity and projects… pretty much performs how all my lancome perfumes perform.

A strong rose backed up by a fresh Lilly of the valley. Good performances.

Starts out strong...but settles down nicely. The drydown is gorgeous! Some rose scents are just not doable for me, but this one is great.

4 star rating for the strong opening that occasionally puts me in headache territory, but it's worth it if I'm in the mood....

To sum this up in one word: Juicy. If you find Midnight Rose initially too sweet, cloying or fruity - stick around a while longer. It loses some of its fruitiness and gives way to a more sultry, spicy and mysterious vanilla-laced rose (as its name suggests). It is powerful in both sillage and longevity, a small amount goes a long way.

The rose and berry is very decent ad in me has a bit if a rich and boozy quality. Later a darker musky notes with a good dose of tonka is added. On my skin this flanker has more depth and richness than the original, and much better silage and projection. Longevity is very good at six hours. The most convincing Trésor so far.

I bought the EDP for my girlfriend. She loves it and I actually really like it. There's no chance of this being a unisex scent, it's definitely a female-only fragrance. It smells like a very 'sharp floral' if that makes sense. I can smell it on my girlfriend after she's come home from a day at work so its longevity is excellent.
