BOURBON FRENCH – TUBEROSE

Of all the olaceous white florals embraced by the perfume world, tuberose has to be the most unctuous. Rich, deep, heavy, slightly carnal, this may be the stepsister to the true rose, as being the scent most employed in the creation of floral perfumes.

Bourbon French's soliflore Tuberose is exceptionally fine, beautifully nuanced and heady, without any green underpinnings, which can creep into other perfume house offerings. It is quite strong, so a little dab will do, even of the edc or edt versions. There is a nutty and buttery quality to the base of this gem, which comes forward in the dry down, taming it a bit.

This is best suited to strong and/or mature personalities. I can see it being layered with quieter, drier florals, such as orris and violet, to tame it down a bit. Highly recommended for all lovers of tuberose.
