This is a fun fresh unique scent. I love the ginger- just the right amount. And tuberose has always been a favorite of mine. The bottle is so cute. I like it!

To my great surprise, I'm addicted to the scent. Unlike anything else I wear or have worn. Usually can't tolerate tuberose, but mixing it with spice removes the curse. Unlike some reviewers, I don't find any citrus at all, and the scent lasts a long time, on me and my clothing. My only reservations are about the silly name and little ribbon.

It may lean towards feminine, it may thrust its big-bosomed tuberose straight in my face (with a little compensating lure of bitter orange and the siren call of an ethereal ginger, fresh as the mountain dew) and keep it there until I give up - but give up I must, to this bright, sparkling, optimistic scent that I first smelled with a female cousin of mine in a department store some 4-5 years ago and which I ended up buying straight away myself - she thought it 'too weak' and went on to choose Tom Ford's dreary orchid concoction instead (go figure...). Now Twilly is my go-to pick-me-up on those days when the sun may be shining but the internal gloom threatens not to lift. It helps enormously - and it's a fantastic fragrance!

I wanted to like this, because I'm a Hermes fangirl and the presentation is just so adorable. And as a rule I like Christine Nagel's creations.

But it's just so uninteresting. Thankfully, I don't get much tuberose from it, since I dislike that floral, but neither do I detect much ginger, a note I do like. It seems to lack much personality at all.

I suppose it might be fine for a teen or tween girl, perhaps one who was good-natured but without much vibrance of her own.

I tried this one in-store, & found it much more fresh & citrussy than l expected. l didn't really get the tuberose, but there was a nice sandalwood in the base. lt was very quiet on me though, & barely detectable after ninety minutes.

Fragrance in three words: Bright Creamy Tuberose

Twilly d'Hermès starts off with a fresh, sunny ginger. Although not listed as notes I get a whiff of bright mandarin and lemon.

The dirty floral notes come through quickly and remind me a lot of Juliette Has a Gun Moscow Mule (2018) which has ginger and a dirty floral mix. The Tuberose is sweet and has that white floral note similar to Gardenia or Muguet. To contrast with the citrus I get something slightly dark, dirty and earthy. A sweet hay (coumarin) runs through it and is nice.

The drydown is a creamy lactone sandalwood. The sandalwood is soft and well-composed, but very faint, by this point it had become a skin scent anyway.

Sillage is moderate. Longevity was around 4-6 hours with it projecting and lasting longer in the summer months.

Value: UK Price (February 2021) is £111 for 85ml, £79 for 50ml and £50 for 30ml EdP. This puts it on par with things like Chanel No. 5, Tom Ford Signature Collection and Dior Hypnotic Poison. It is affordable, but on the higher side of "everyday" designer fragrances. I think it is slightly overpriced given there are feminine fragrances I like more for less money like JPG's Classique (1993) or Givency's Ange ou Démon (2006).

This is a solid well composed fragrance using good quality aromachemicals. I enjoyed wearing it, but for me it isn't bottle worthy. I was torn between a neutral and a positive, if it was priced about £20 cheaper it would score a green.
