Unsigned perfumes are often mediocre.
This one is better than average but it's still quite generic, a 'Sophia Grojsman' flor-amber with the usual suspects : a rose-violet bouquet, and sandal-amber to give it creamy fullness.

Whether V'E was released in 1982, as Parfumo say, or 1989 doesn't really matter. The anonymous perfumer(s) will have had time to study White Linen - where Grojsman set out her stall (1980). And maybe also Vanderbilt (1982) which confirmed the Marshmallow direction of her work, and which is broadly copied here.

The opening of very sweet florals - which is the best part, leads to a tangy fruit and mature powdery floral, which skirt around the gourmand without diving in.

V'E doesn't have the stamina or blending to make it a thoroughbred, but it's solid work none-the-less.

This is an elegant rosy chypre, I don't find it very green or sour at all, has a little incensy oriental bend to it. Reminds me of Halston Couture but not as powdery. The rose is beautiful, subtle & natural smelling. Overall too elegant for my taste tho.

I had two different perfumes that came in the same shaped bottles and they smelled identical. I wondered if they were really the same formulas. They were Rose Cardin and Taffetas. They had what I think of as a Moroccan rose theme. They were strong and spicy and smelled like linens sun-dried in a rose garden. They reminded me very much of potent Aromatics Elixir and Maroc. All four of these smelled great from the bottles but they became too strong on me. I found another perfume at a swap meet, a little softer and deeper, within the same Moroccan rose family and I fell in love with it. It is called V'e and it is made by Versace. All of the deep Moroccan rose is there, all of the garden depth is there, all of the delicious bitter golden sunshine is there, but it is richer and lower-keyed. It has become one of my favorite fragrances of all time. I did not have to "try" to like it. It was perfection from the first sniff.

Iv just received this in the post, another ebay bargain. Wow this is truly, truly beautiful. Shut your eyes and sniff, its just as though you have walked through the door of a florist. It smells like real freshly cut flowers, very green, not overly sweet and smells completely real, no synthetic kick of many scents. On the dry down this scent really warms up but still keeping those chypre and floral notes. I really like this fragrance it reminds me of the beginning of spring, the suns on your face but you still need a fire to keep you warm. How dare they discontinue, what are they thinking.

I just rediscovered this in the back of my fragrance closet after having tucked it away a couple of years ago. VE is a classy chypre with green and floral notes. Very wearable with casual or elegant wear. Dries down to a soft, incensy finish. It's a sophisticated alternative spring/summer scent to all the light floral, fruity, and marine accords out there, but is suitable for any time of year.

This is the EdP version that says EXTRAIT CALAMAIO. It is bottled in a 1/2 oz glass bottled and encased in a beautiful acrylic case. Bought it back in 1991. I think this was a limited release scent. One word: Luxurious! They don't make it like this anymore for sure! Smooth, flowery and completely wearable for an EdP. Appropriate for both day and evening scent. Very feminine yet super super sexy! Quality and class all the way!!!!!!
