Velvet Tonka

Initial impression: playdoh mixed with cigarette smoke mixed with harsh, sickly sweetness with an orange note that seems to be running for its life into the distance when you try to peer through the hot mess that is the rest to see it.

Sweet, powdery, anise licorice smell in the opening. Pretty feminine throughout to me. The drydown is a heavy, sticky, synthetic vanilla. I wanted to like this and wore it a couple of times. Unfortunately, I find this to be annoying as a wearer. It might be better in passing but I cannot recommend wearing it because of how abrasive it is.

Loud projection and all-day longevity.
