Verde di Mare
Bois 1920 (2014)

Don't like it. Green but fairly sweet. Initially, the note is either clean/fresh or wet cardboard. The juniper berry smells like faint mint. Don't care for the fruit notes. Briefly had a somewhat intriguing smoky aspect but that was offset by more wet cardboard. The florals are a huddled and rather dense mass, no redeeming features of interest. Grows cold, metallic and irritating as the hours go by.

A garden by the sea!

Like a salty breeze coming at you full of the ocean and gathering all of the greens & flowers on its way to your nose. This is what Verde di Mare brings me. The little magic here is how the many citruses carefully blends with the blackcurrant, green & floral elements. Slightly musky, never sweet. It is an eau de parfum and its longevity is enormous for this type of scent. On colder days I can sense the woody notes appearing discreetly in the dry down. Like a soft and creamy sandalwood somewhere in the background. Verde di Mare gives an impression of an icy water.

Like most BOIS 1920, extremely well blended potion and as real as can be!
